It's a 114 or a 115. That commercial is called "Reincarnation"....the outside may change, but the soul remains the same.

No kidding. My SDL was the victim of that sort of nonsense. It's hard to comprehend why someone would pay almost $50 grand for something and then literally beat it to pieces. The weird thing is that my wagon and 300D are in far, far better shape than the SDL yet everyone always comments on what a beautiful car the SDL is. I guess that big S*B just shouts "Mercedes-Benz™".

RLeo - thanks for remembering Reincarnation - could not for the life of me think of that (and it seemed appropriate for this thread)

Your right, the po beat my poor SDL for 10 years. If I didn't buy it she would have been junked by now. Mine had one foot in the grave when I bought it. Everyone loves the SDL though, mostly because they had one back in the day and loved it.

Went by the knacker yard today, nothing left......
I too am amazed how some folks pay an outrageous amount of money for items and then let them go to pot, not just cars, houses, lawnmowers, electronics, the list goes on.
I was once told by an imigrant from Poland that the one thing that amazed him the most about the US was all the rusting cars and farm equipment strewn about in the pastures. I really did not have a good explination for him, still don't

The two easiest ways to find out who own an abandonded car is; one, start pulling parts off of it, and two, go to the local city or school tax office and find out who owns the property. The tax office will have their mailing address. It there are back taxes owed on the propoerty chances are that the place has been abandonded and the car should be free for pickings.
