Does it matter which hose goes where on overboost switch?
Been searching, but no sure answer, getting around to fixing the bypassed overboost switch on my SD (after feeling lack of power, pulling tank stainer, finding nothing, and then noticing the degraded rubber hose the p.o. used to do the bypass blown apart, oh well put on the new fuel line anyhow...) so does it matter which hose goes to which port on the unit?

I don't know if it matters but the line from the turbo goes in the bottom and the line from the alda goes in the top.
At least that's how it is in my car. Danny

As long as the line goes from the manifold directly to the ALDA, leaving the ports open on the switch, you will not have any trouble.

I think it must matter, because mine doesn't have a hole in the top! . But seriously, mine has two on the bottom, and the top has the port the boost vents out of, so maybe yours is a later enough model to have a different type. Anybody with an '82 want to look under the hood and see if the one from the intake goes to the one closer to or farther from the plug side?

The intake goes to the closer one (so they don't cross)

Thanks for the advice old300d, but as there was enough pressure to blow the line apart already, maybe it's worth being hooked up... ,thanks for the other tips everybody. Can't wait to get a boost guage and see whats actually getting put out...
