hose clamps

for these cars seem to be prety well made....I've been cleaning and lubing a bunch of them during my replace rubber parts efforts...I've grown to hate the hose clamps that have the slots for the worm screw that go all the way through the band...These merecedes clamps seem to be well made....

Those clamps come in a wide range of quality levels. Some are a very well made stainless clamp and all of the associated problems that you typically have with the chinese junk are not present.

The M/B clamps are OK, but, I'll take a well made worm drive clamp over them, anytime.

The clamp needs to be the exact clamp for the task. There is very little range to open these clamps. If you happen to have a slightly larger (non-metric) version of a hose, the clamp won't fit over the hose.

I certainly haven't fallen in love with them.
