I gotcha...
When I take my injectors up to the guys in portland I will ask them about it. They are really familar with the bosch pump and even do upgrades (bigger parts for LOTS more fuel) on similar pumps. They seem to know their stuff about the mercedes from what I have talked with them about so far.

I still wonder how you would up the fuel without blowing away the idle...seems like there should be an adjustment for that.

Well there are a few adjustments under the rear cover...nobody has been able to give me details beyond what the full load was...and I don't have the $400+ dollars for a shop to calibrate this thing with about 10-15% more on the upper end delivery..

Likewise on the cash flow situation. The guys up there are good friends with dad so they are pretty good about leaking info to me. My 300 has been jumping in its engine bay when warm (shaking a LOT). I know that I need a rack dampner but I am having those guys go through my injectors (I have an extra set out of a turbo wagon) becuase I believe one is popping off too low.
We will see what they say

They should not charge that much to mount, find the specs, purge of air, and turn a few screws (I'll admit adjusting plunger-lift-to-port-close with shims vs locknut is a PITA). I'd bet it would be in the $70-120 range.

The closest Bosche place to me is a 2.5 hour drive away in Richmond VA...that I know of anyway. I am affraid to ship it becasue if the box is dropped and the rack gets jarred out of position then its big bucks time. But I was going from quotes I read on the forum and not direct quotes from a shop. I guess it would be a good idea to track the place down and call them.
