OM60x info/specs?

Would anyone be able to provide a brief summary of the various Turbo OM60x engines available? I'm looking to drop one of these into my W123 with a 5spd gearbox.

Does anyone know which Om60x were available with 5spd manuals in Germany or any suggestions as to which OM60x engine would be suitable?

Thanks

They were/are all available in Germany with 5-speed MT.

The newer the engine the more electronics go with it. You can run an 80s 601 or 603 without electornics if you manually set the idle at some stable rpm. I don't know if the 602s are as forgiving. The 606s have throttle by wire so there's even more electronics to contend with.

The 2.2l 601 and 2.5l 602 were available in the US with AT or 5-speed. The 2.5l turbo 602 and 3.0l turbo 603 were available in the US with AT only.

I have no knowledge of the other 60Xs and CDIs.

After some searching i've pretty much ruled out the OM606 Turbo as it has fly by wire and other electronics.

At the moment i'm tending towards a Turbo 3.0L OM603. What flywheels would i be able to use with the 5spd manuals?

Does anyone have links or pics of the om603 in a w123 body? I'm pretty sure i've seen it before.
