How about earlier w124's
I see that the later w124's have this feature, is this a matter of swaping switches into an older model w/o the feature? Relay swap? Would be really nice to add to my car as the windows get the most use almost always all down or up, I only us AC when really needed, still like the wind flowing thru my hair while I still have some

I gave up, I just write it off as a W126 thing, like the manual drivers side mirror.
My solution is to just buy a newer MB. Drove a W140 today with one touch windows, pretty nice...

You could do one of those really cheezy car alarms that raises the windows when you leave the car or you could also wire a circuit with a timer that rolled down all four windows in a certain time sequence. The only risk you would have is burning out a fuse if the windows suddenly started opening or closing faster or slower than your designated time sequence. I think it would be best however to leave your cars stock |

Other cars, like my dad's Honda Fit, has them. The switches are like today's cameras, 1/2 push downwards will let you control the window, while pushing it all the way down will lower the window completely down automatically. Same with pulling the switch up.
If the W124 switches have these, I'd also be interested in any updates on this mod. The only problem is that their switches are rounded on the corners more than those on the W123. In retrospect, the wagon's driver window came down automatically when we hit a bump. A new regulator solved this

I have made the drivers window a one touch down on my 84 500SEL. It is not just a simple switch change. I looked into using the same system as in my 81 300D but it would be WAY to much work. What I did in my 500 was not easy but I like a challenge. Ok, in a nut shell, this is what I did. I used an Express down module from a late 90's Buick. The MB windows have 12V on both wires when the switch is at rest. GM motors have 0V when at rest. First thing necessary was to convert the MB to GM system. I used relays because it ment less modifications to the MB wireing. I then was able to use the GM module. I mounted the relays and module under the false floor on the passenger side and ran the necessary wiring to the original MB switch.
If anyone would be interested in more information, maybe I can post the PN and wireing diagram. By the way, unless you can find the parts at the junk yard, you are looking at about $100.0 in parts if memory serves.

I spilled a little coffee with lots of suger on my window switch, and the button
sticks when I push it up or down. It worked good for a few weeks, but its back to normal now. I guess it needs another drop of coffee. Jay |
