convert ac unit?

i switched the evap unit on a euro to one with ac. my indy did it.. charged about $1,500...think he lost $ on it. never really worked properly... sold the car, ten years later bought it back, four months ago. its a euro 5 speed that was brough t into the country to use in professional rallies. i want to make it into an historic racer. sorry got carried away.

There ain't no governer on these. My all-manual 240D will cruise all day long at 80mph, and peg the speedometer at 85 easily and go a little faster.

If it had a different rear end ratio, it could go faster.

There's a real sweet spot right around 73 mph, where the sound of the engine is a pleasant humming noise.
