That is quite the find, John. It will take some work to get it back to pristine condition, but, with that one, it will probably be worth it.

I do believe, however, that it is time to open a used car lot.

I think you might have surpassed Randy.

Thumbs up

I love the psuedo wetbar in the dash with the TV set.

Ever seen a '57 Eldorado Brougham Cadillac? All sorts of oddities like that... tissue dispenser, shot glasses, etc.

A few things I noticed: the front headrests seem to be from an 80's Jaguar as well as the front ashtray that is from an 80's Jaguar. If you look at the 7 series Volvo from the mid 80's you will see the nearly identical seat style that they used on the seats in this Mercedes. Eitherway, it will be a fun car to own.

That's a well executed SEC front, they must have changed the entire front clip.

What is missing from the ashtray area in the centre console?

Matt.

If he forgot to turn it off and left it running over night I'd say that fridge holds quite a few tall boys. that center console looks like a nice hard surface and may have got some special attention too! Very cool car nice find!

You guys wouldn't believe me if I told you what it cost me

I should be able to get it home this saturday, then it will get a better inspection. Here's hoping it just ran out of gas and the battery died instead of overheating and he wasn't smart enough to figure it out

I'm not about to troubleshoot it until it get it here

Sweet. I have never seen anything like that. I can feel the 1980s seeping into my pores just from looking at those photos.

The SDL was almost mint. Body is in great shape, interior is almost 100%perfect, it has 214K on it. You can semi see it behind my car in this picture http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y159/johnhef/300SD/000_0083.jpg

Doesn't look like I'll be bringing the 560 home today yet, still waiting on the guy to return home and then have to rent a tralier to pick it up, etc....
