sec stuff

i have daydreamed putting an sec front end on my sdl. i dont know what all is different but i do know that the hood and fenders and all front lights are different. dont know if any of the underlying metal is different or not but the hood line looks lower and i wonder if it will clear a 603 motor. i suspect it won't.

on this car the trunk lid and trim is off an sec as well. looks good. i would enjoy seeing it in person.

I was amazed. It actually ran .....

After the battery and dumping some fuel in the tank it actually fired and sputtered a little, the guy had told me the engine was seized.

Its looking promising. Definitly need a new radiator though. Leaking somewhere on the driver side as well as the broken fitting on the right side. Oil seems to be leaking quite a bit from the valve covers as well on both sides, I hope its just dry seals...

As a nice bonus, turns out the car has remote locking that still works....coooool

Actually It's lower than that, I found some receipts in the car, about 58K for the car new and 51K for the modifications. Still, thats a lot for a 126

You would be correct. Actually its more than that, I bought a fuel filter too...
Still doesn't run yet, I think one of the fuel pumps is no good. On the other hand, got the important stuff working: the two amps, all the speakers, the TV (tuned through the radio, how badass!) and have a DVD player temporarily wired into it now instead of the VCR it had. Most of the stuff had its wires cut for some reason, all of that is repaired and works great now.

That DVD player totally ruins it. You need a vintage Sony 12V Beta deck. I can see it flush mounted in the rear deck next to the first aid kit.

That and to counter the iPod holders of today, a Walkman holder next to the dash Ok that might be a bit much, but I do like it's style. I'd never have chosen white leather, but I do think that that thing has a certain level of class.

i *HEART* 80's tech

im green!

I'd still like to wire an old macintosh into shlomo, a nice se/30 with an ADB extension wired somewhere convenient for the keys and clicker=)

the only thing better is all of this on a budget car, like my first car, it was the original taurus lx, with digital everything...

it all stopped working one day...

congrats! i want on the "sell to" list=)
