OK. Meant to be there for the auto show in Delhi, but looks like I'll just miss that. Should be there in a few weeks if I can sell my TD to fund the trip!

Tom,

Why would you like to see Delhi Auto Show coming from the land of cars US of A. All you get is subcompacts and compacts, even Honda's participation is doubtful. What you do get is extensive direct contacts with the parts industry reps and thats a huge one at that.

Howdy,

Very impressed, specially from someone in Tx, my Hindi is actually quite rusty as I didn't speak it often in my 17 years in NY, seems like yours is far chaster.

Bingo. parts contacts is what the whole trip is about. I plan to tour the Bosch plants and try to figure out what ALL OF BOSCH can't seem to..., why the HELL the injector parts have turned to s**t!

Looking to meet some parts suppliers and contacts for importing stuff and getting my injectors plated there as the chems for it here are getting scarce (EPA stuff and all..)

Anyway, I'll call a few days after I get into Delhi and regain my balance. Are you within a one-day (diesel) motorcycle ride from Delhi???

PS. Please, no one ask me to sneak a 123 5-speed into my luggage, I'm only taking the clothes on my back and a laptop so no where to stash, and no, I won't carry it up my a** either! I will however, do my best to procure more than a few that I can pack in a shipping container with Aarons diesel motorcycles, due to arrive a month or so after I return.

I'm thinking I'll bolt a luggage handle to the roof and mark the doors "Samsonite", they'll just think it's typical American tourist baggage!

I'm tempted to ask you to pick up a Lambretta 200 engine/trans they still make them there and they are cheap.....if you had a container....I'm sure you could sell every 5 speed W123 trans you could find over there .... good luck on the trip.....hope to hear more from you in the comming days/weeks.

Actually, that would be very doable as Aaron also doese scooter imports and we'll have more than one shipping container filled with engines, parts, etc.

So...., LMK exactly what you want (and anyone else too if they can abbreviate a list for me so I'm not running all over and can clearly understand what you want) so I can attempt to procure it and stuff it in the container.
