Where is the shut off device on a 99 E300 TurboDiesel, that you use if the engine won't stop?

I don’t have any problem, but it does not hurt to be ready (G)

The newer Turbo diesels have to have power to keep the engine running. When power is shut off, fuel stops flowing.

99 E300 Turbodiesel

Richard,

I have a '99 E300 Turbodiesel. It's silver with gray interior and just turned 48k miles today. There is also an extended warranty from MBUSA good to 100k miles. Send me an e-mail if you are interested and would like to know more.

OK, I'm a knuckle head, I thought we were talking about a wagon, is there any way to get a newer diesel wagon in the states?

dude, you're not a knucklehead.

The T in that position of the name does mean wagon. The correct name, as Ken said, is E300 TurboDiesel. And, to answer you question, the W210 wagon was never sold in the U.S. with a diesel engine. Sorry.

Rick,

How is the power, torque and fuel mileage on that Jetta TDI ? I'm thinking about one of those for my son to drive.

Thanks, Ken

Ken,
In the spirit of keeping this board Mercedes only, eMail me and I'll be happy to discuss the VW privately.
