The W123 Oil Cooler Thermostat opens @ 95C
and is fully opened at 110C.
to many of you here this is (very) old news... but to everyone like me whos still on the low side of the learning curve, this is very interesting info. If you don't believe me, check the oil system chapter from MBZ manual located here... http://rbk3.com/mbz/tsm/MBZ18-005%20OIL%20SYS.pdf Remember this before you get your panties in a bunch as you watch your temp approach 100C.
