A Corner of my sunroof is about an 1/8" lower than the roof...

Isn't there some sort of height adjustment for the tolt/sliding roofs in out late model 126's? To get the roof to til I have to push the tilit button about 3-5 times with it moving a little more each time. It doesn't usually just go up if you hold the button. It seems like the motor is trying to jerk it up per say. It goes up rather smoothly but I think it is just trying to get the roof to overcome the seal since it seems to be below it?

Let me know what you guys/ladies might think about this. Man, it's always something, though this is something that's always been there I just usually use the A/C or the sliding roof.

Thanks
David

Mine exhibited similar behavior right before a clip popped out of it ... not that that means anything. I'm not that familiar with the anatomy, but one of the plastic clips that pushes up the sunroof on the right side broke apart, afterwhich that corner of the sunroof would not close (previously it had been sticking shut when I tried to open it). If it's sticking, I wouldn't try to open it much because it'll tax the motor. I'd check out the clips and little bits that may not be doing their job ... how to do that, i don't know ... the guys on here that actually know their stuff will have much better advice for you than I will.

Incidentally, I haven't had a chance to tackle my sunroof yet ... it broke in the late fall, so it wasn't much of an issue ... now that the sunshine is back in full force, I'd like it back in working order.

David,
I'm just having fun at your expense I guess, but you went 0-3 in spelling "tilt". I'm just goofin' on you because I am the worstest speller on the planet.
I can't even get my sunroof to budge, so that's my contribution to this thread.....

I rarely open my sunroof....instead opting for all the windows.... having the sunroof open just lets the sun beat right down onto me in the car I even have the nifty "air shield" on my sunroof but it doesn't help much during the 12pm-3pm time of day, after that it can be fun to have it open though....reaching up into the airstream

Wow, I really butchered up that post. To be honest I don't really look at the screen while typing or if I do I really tend to mess up. Also, as you can tell, I don't go over what I typed before pushing the "submit" button. If you look at my posts, many of them have been updated because I don't pay attention. For the record, "tilt" is spelled T-I-L-T.

Thanks
David

I'm glad you took it in the good-natured way it was intended. I use that iespell all the time. Truly horrible speller here....

I'll bet that 90% of the mis-spellings here are from typos, not poor spelling.

Thanks
David
