Why the incivility on the forum???

Why are some posting incivilities on shopforum?
People posting quetions and being incivil to the posters trying to help them.
I mean, other forums like pagoda113 and 113sl are not like this.
It doesn't happen that much, but why does it happen at all?

Unfortunately, from time to time people sign on to the forum and feel that they should get immediate service on their every question, no matter how poorly stated or whether or not they did a reasonable search for the information.

These people don't usually hang around long. Too bad too, because there is a tremendous amount of talent lurking on these forums. Yes, the responses can get a little short and that is unfortunate. If everyone can just be a bit patient, it all seems to eventually work out.

Unfortunatly, it seems that people sometimes seem to lack the ability to control themselves or to respect others when they are offered help ( even if it may not be exactly what they want)...

Could be that it's particularly rainy and foggy up in the pac NW today though.

What get's me is that if ya help someone, and post possible working solutions to there question, we never hear what the end result was.
We're left hanging, waiting to see if the help offered helped or not.
I'd like to know what happened, good or bad.

I know I'm a guilty party in that regard sometimes, mostly because there are times when I'm not in a position to access the internet, then the subject falls off the bottom and I kind of forget. Or, as is most likely the case, I never completely resolve the problem or haven't had time to tackle the project yet ... a lot of times I just "stockpile" info and keep it on tap for whenever I have time to do a project. For example, I had asked questions about dropping off the front bumper to do rust work ... I haven't had time to do it yet, but have it on my list.

Sometimes I feel weird coming back a month after the fact to post something like "hey guys, I finally got my ignition tumbler in!" ... I guess I kind of thought that would be annoying to people ... but if not, I'm always happy to babble about every little thing I do to the car.

I come back one month, two months............whatever...........and finish the thread. My springs on the SDL consumed at least two months and they are not completely finished yet. But, I'll go back to the same thread and post some additional information when I do more work to the suspension height.

It's all good info for someone who will need to adjust the rear ride height on an SDL in the future.

And, Brian, I feel I've let you down (no pun intended) on that one. I seem to remember saying waaaay back when, that I would give you the measurements from my SDL and now, I don't recall ever doing it for you. Lots of water has passed under my bridge in the last two months.
