Rear door panel removal...126

Both rear windows gave up the ghost. How do you get the rear door panels off? I found two screws for the door pull and the striker plate. What kind of fasteners hold the panel on?

Thumbs up

Behind the handle you'll find a small screw remove that one.

Then a giant one holds the handle on.

Remove the small piece at the very back with the tiny screws, then as stated it lifts basically up and out.

Mind the window switch, the light on the bottom of the door, and the lock on the top.

They're harder to get on than to get off.

Yes its the same for both doors, remove the door strike chrome plate thing, the door handle, and the little screw behind the door handle that holds on that piece of trim, the little cap on the lock plunger, and then the whole panel slides straight up. (make sure to unplug the cable for the window switch and the light/cig outlet) I've found getting it all back on to be a pain sometimes, I just removed the front passenger panel of our '83 today as that window's motor is dead, it just clicks if you apply power to it, new one ordered off fastlane.....$185
