Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to thank you all for the continuous wealth of vacuum tips and other advice given on the board. I didn't ask this one directly but my car (83 300TD) wasn't turning off with the ignition switch, my locks didn't work, and I had to lock my drivers door with the key to get the car to turn off without opening the hood. So I read a little bit on here and now I have 2 vacuum caps over the door lock tubes coming from the driver's side front and it shuts off with the ignition switch!!! Still takes a few seconds and dies slowly so I'm sure there are more leaks but this was a great victory for a newbie like me!

Now I can dig into the door lock system and see where the real leak was...and maybe fix my intermittent tach and glow plug light...and the air conditioning, and...you get the picture!
