Refill oil through filter canister?
This is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to refill the engine oil back into your crankcase after changing the oil by pouring the new oil into the oil filter canister? It would make refilling the crankcase so much cleaner.
Thoughts?

thats how i have done it for years. put the filter in for the last quart or 2, so that it can get saturated, be carefull with the filter in or you will have a mess.

Well I have been using a funnel for the longest time to prevent mess...
But I also try to prefill oil filters to have some oil pressure upon start up after an oil change.
