Is an AC Clutch remover tool unique to each compressor?

I realize there is a special clutch remover tool and that sometimes this is unique to the compressor you are working on. Do I need a custom Clutch remover, or just a standard one, to replace a clutch on a non Mercedes diesel (Volvo 940 Turbo 1991)?
