Euro??

pj67coll 07-18-2005 02:36 AM

Euro?

Good question. I see no sign of any euro features on it. Especially I dont see any sign of the vacume headlamp adjust which it should have if it were a Euro. Though it does have a Netherlands sticker on the back.

That is a sexy mercedes...

Christ, if I was born like six years earlier I'd have a worthwhile job and enough money to buy up these little gems.

is it just me or was that entire car just dipped in shiny, glistening *grease*?

it looks like a polished turd.

black280ce 07-18-2005 04:24 AM

i dont like the look of that greasy shiny brake pedal. The drivers floor mat looks pretty wet too.

i also want to know what chrysler has to do with the car?

Sold “as is” with no warranties or guaranties of any kind implied or expressed by Chrysler Motor Company, Mercedes Benz Motor Company, the current owners(s) or myself. This vehicle is a 24-year old Classic Sedan that may have a scratch, nick, chip, tear, fade, dimple, peel, split, odor, crack, ding, scuff, leak, drip, shimmy, cold-start, rough idle, wear spot, dent, rust, oxidation, pitting, corrosion, tarnish …etc.

what exactly could the ...etc be? i think he/she covered most of the problems whenever the "may" list was written.

i couldnt sell a car on ebay, id be afraid of burning for eternity.

in all fairness the car doesnt look terrible. it just doesnt look terribly nice either. i would never buy a car with those carpets, though. thats an issue i have with used cars, i HATE a stained interior. ill let my cars get cluttered and ashes dont bother me so much unless theyre still on fire, but id be damned, those ugly things would be replaced!

actually, the carpet tells the vehicles whole story, doesnt it?

PagodaLover 07-18-2005 09:39 AM

It looks well lubed. Even the carpet...
You know, thing may ONLY need carpet? But that's eBay, you only know whenever you finally see it/inspect it.

The desert southwest was kind to that interior.

Speculation

The car was listed in the local Autotrader Magazine but when I phoned the seller last weekend I was told it was already sold. Different number from the one on ebay. I wonder if some speculator picked it up and is now trying to double his money on ebay.

Glinko, I have been thinking exactly the same thing about my emigrating to the USA. If only I'd made it here five years earlier...

That's a fine looking car. So what if it's old and the guy cleaned it up a little bit. I do the same with mine.

You can tell by looking at the metal engine components that it has never seen salt. Once you get those white salt spots on, I don't know if there's any way to get them off.

His engine shines almost as much as mine does. :sun_smile

Next set of tires I buy for my 240D are going to be whitewalls, too.
