Well it's been raining all morning here so I haven't had a chance to get a pic of the car, but the 240D has a sticker on the rear window.. it's one of those white oval stickers, and it has the letters "DK" in it.. and there is also a dealer name inbetween the left taillight and the license plate... I'll try and get a pic later when the weather clears up.

Is this it?

The one in the middle?

If so, you're lucky. Lars is a cool guy.

That is definately it! The brown one... it has the same license plate number! I don't think he has that SD anymore though.. it's a light yellow/creme one now.

Busted. ltrain300D sweet car. I noticed your blue 300D the other day and it is mint.

Lets meet neighbor, I will put a note on you car.

It gets to the point where you can not hide anywhere anymore

I am glad that I didn't off anyone in Austin now.

Cheers

Yeah... mint until it got keyed the other night in the parking lot here... if you check out the trunk lid in between "300D" and the trunk star.. someone left me a nice little present. I've come out a few times before to find my hood star bent over like someone tried to take it, but it hasn't been yanked yet.

Welcome to Florida, neighbor!

Yeah... my car was parked right rext to that bush where the parking lot makes a "T", and there was a red jeep cherokee parked next to me... it got broken into - I've lived in this complex since September of 2004, and it's the first car I've seen broken into... also - that gate to come in rarely works... across the street in those woods where you might see a lot of shopping carts... there is a group of homeless people that live back there.. you might see them every once and a while. Other than that, it's a nice place... a little overpriced IMHO, but nice. My lease is going to be up soon.. and I'm moving on campus in mid-august (I go to UCF which is right around the corner down Alafaya). I like the area around here... traffic is beyond horrible in the fall/spring when everyone is back for school around rush hour. If you have any questionsabout the area, feel free to ask!

small WORLD! I lived in Orlando for almost 4 years before I returned here (in Philly) - I know what you mean by traffic during the school years and busy months... I lived in Maitland first and then in Lake Highland (Eola Drive - near Colonial Drive and Mills ave.) near Thornton Park in Downtown Orlando. I still like Orlando...maybe will return in the future - with my job I can relocate almost anywhere... I had my 1980 Anthracite Gray 300D (pics are on my homepage) while I was there - had to sell it before I returned up north though. And I have seen quite a few W123's in the Orlando area - even on Colonial Drive! I have a buddy that still owns two w123's there - a brown 1982 300D (US-version) and a silver 1984 300D (Euro-version). Nice to know there are fellow Orlando diesel forumers here..... : (p.s.... the pics of my 300D on my website were taken in my driveway and also in Lake Highland Prep)

Yeah, I am originally from the west coast of Florida (Clearwater), and go to school over here. I like the area for the most part - Cocoa Beach is a short drive, attractions are close, lots to do around here. I never hear of any GTG's in Florida though.. the closest ones I ever hear of are in Atlanta, which is about 5 to 6 hours from here. Maybe it's time for one.. a Central Florida GTG maybe? I know there are some people from Tampa on here, and a few others from Orlando....

Ahhh, Cocoa Beach. My old spot! Closest beach spot from downtown Orlando - staright down from 528 East a.k.a. the Beeline Expressway! I used to surf at Cocoa Beach Pier lots of times (when there are swells out there...) If not there, I'd trek down to PAFB or Sebastian Inlet... Man, I miss those fun sessions... driving in the 300D w/ the board strapped on the roof, and eager to to hit the water! Oh well...

I didn't see a mention of the apartment name near Alafaya, but I work at Lockheed Martin on Lk Underhill and live in Deltona. I probably pass by your complex twice a day.

Hey,
I live on Michigan St. about 2 miles south of downtown Orlando.
A GTG sounds like a good idea.

I like the east part of town. Dirt biking on the dirt trails in the Econ State Park. There's a cool place to park down Snowhill Rd.
