The lapel pin is for accumulated mileage in all MB's for which have had high mileage certificates sent in. I have quite a bit more total km's than 1,000,000 km, but they all have not been sent in.

Have a great day,

What am I doing wrong? I have uploaded the picture but it does not show up on the post. LB
is it a hosted picture or one you are uploading directly to the site....if you are uploading directly it may be too large and should have given you an error.

I figured out what the problem is but don't have time to mess with it right now. I compressed the file to get it under 65K, but it's pixel dimensions were slightly too large.

Also when I looked at it again, I realized that it is only a 500,000KM lapel pin. I have driven a total well over 1,000,000KM, but I think my earlier high mileage awards from the 80's and early nineties did not get totaled because they did not have record of them. In this day of databases, I would expect that all of the cars you get badges for have records kept with MBUSA.

I have certificates for a million KM worth, but I got an award or two beyond those a long time ago and don't have those certificates in my file.

I will try to trim the size of the photo later.

Have a great day,

I posted the picture as requested but it was as an edit, so it did not bump to the top.

Have a great day,

It's a beauty. Looks like I better start driving the Benz more.

I sent mine out for both of my cars the first week of July and am still waiting. I had the service rep at the dealer sign it but he didn't need to check the car or anything like that.

If my memory serves me well.. the original validation for the high mileage badge was to send in paperwork with the engine number recorded, not just odometer reading. MB has gotten extremely lax and I don't believe they care about that any more. I took my 300D to the local dealer, filled out paperwork and the gentleman helping said he wasn't getting all greasy just to get an engine number. He copied the reading on odometer, signed the papers, and the badge (along with a "declaration of high mileage" suitable for framing) arrived circa 2 weeks later. Soooo.. it's now OK to have an odometer that clocked that many miles and you get the badge. No one has any idea if my engine is original to the vehicle

I had a female friend from my work sign the form and a couple weeks later I received the badge in the mail.

So if you have 707,100 miles you would get three badges or just the one?

It looks like you were eligible for the 1,000,000 Kilometer badge at only 625,000 miles.
