Where to tighten up trans bands on a W116 300sd

Some bloke told me there is a T shape thing on the dirver side ( left ) of the trans on these W 116 1980 300SD. This T knob suppose tighten up tranny, decrease slippage.
Tonight i crawled under with 2 wheel stands. I cannot see anything remotely look like that. Saw one rond cover about 2 inch diam. But did'nt want to start monkeying around. Incase something important.
I did managed to changed the oil though.
Is pretty easy, undo the oil drain plug, dump it all in a catch pan.
Tighten it back, then use same socket 13mm I think to open up the oil filter. Is lift up, toss it into a plastic bag. So much nicer as compare to the Bgi Vee 8.

Anyways any info regarding to tighten up the bands will be very much obliged.

He is probably talking about the vacuum modulator. It looks like this;

Turning the knob under the plastic cap will do what you are speaking of. Clockwise for firmer shifts, CCW for softer shifts.

Hi Adam
probably is this little guy, where can I find him?

I saw some cap or cover, but not sure if a bunch of loose ball bearing and springs will fly out in every direction.
But I don't see any vac hose attach to anything.
Thanks in advance.

I traced the vac line is on the right side of tranny.
Squeeze the clip to remove the plastic cap. Voila I saw the blank key shape, I turned it up 2 notches , going out for a test drive now, wish me luck.
Thanks again.

She did real well, the tranny seems to be grabbing very well.
Used to slip a bit when hammer her down, but now seems to transfer every bit of torque to the rear wheel.
Thanks
