Good source for vacuum stuff.

Anyone know a good source to get parts to rebuild my vacuum system. The pump is fine...I'm really just looking for a place to get bulk hose, and fittings.

******** Arizona lists Mercedes rigid vacuum line in various colors so one can replace the originals with the similar color stripes if necessary. That way an experienced mechanic will not pull his hair out if he ever has to work on the car for some reason.
they also sell vac tees and bulk vac hose.

search for vac

What do you mean by fittings? If you mean the vac manifold, that line that runs from the pump to the brake booster, then that hose is special heat shrunk onto the fittings with some tooling. Finding that large rigid hose will be very difficult, just a new manifold will be much easier.

Try www.autoluxmbz.com at 949-574-0054. They have vaccum pot diaphrams very cheap.

I just had to replace this hose (manifold). It comes as an assembly that includes the large hose, the check valve, and the metal fittings at both ends. Almost $70 from the dealer.

let me guess, you hit the small barb that sticks out near the center of the manifold (big hose) and it snapped off?
look at Fastlane's price I'm sure they beat that dealer list.

Exactly (hit the small lines with my arm when my hand slipped), I know I could do better on price, but I didn't want to mess around ordering parts, just wanted to get it fixed ASAP. The one good thing about the dealer is they can usually get stuff quickly.

90% of the stuff I buy is from http://www.*************** I had a problem with a part and they bent over backwards to help me. Not to mention their prices are very competitive. Free shipping too!

Ebay is always a good place too. There is some guy who sells VW parts that I got my hose from when redoing my vac system.
