My 300CD had all these new rattles; under the dash, both doors and under the car and was running louder then normal. Filled up this morning at a different gas station then usual, instantly the engine was running smooth again and all the irritating rattles were gone.

Thought I had a lot of work ahead, now I only have to go to another gas station.

You never want to buy diesel from a station where you are the only diesel customer. I was once running real low on diesel traveling on RT 95 in VA. Pulled off the highway, following signs for diesel. I get to the station that had diesel and the pump was off to the side of the building, was one of those from the 1970's, with mechanical numbers. It looked like it hadn't been used in 10 years. I quickly left and got back on the highway looked else where. Go where the trucks go.

If you are really in a bind, go to your local farm store or grocery store and pick yourself up some vegetable oil, kerosene, etc.

Remember...you can get away with a gallon or two of almost anything if you are really pressed in need of fuel...
