Ignition switch color to number sequence?
 

I am in the middle of replacing by broken ignition switch - the lock jammed in the column and had to be drilled out - I replaced the tumbler last week thinking that was the issue. The wiring came out of the holder in the back of the switch - does anyone know the wire color to pin number assignments. I didn't see this on the online cd manual or the ignition article on the sticky.

I remember seeing it in the wiring diagram for my SDL, it is curious that it isn't in the one for your model.

The CD manual is really difficult to read but here's what I see -

both 30s get a thick red wire

50 gets a violet wire with white stripe, possibly also a violet wire

15 gets a red wire with black stripe

P30 gets a green wire with white stripe

15X gets a red wire with yellow stripe

15R gets a red wire with green stripe
