New York-Skagway-New York, 85 TDT

Loing time lurker, first time poster,I have to share this--- My daughter turns 12, I'm able to get some time off, the '85 turbo diesel wagon(174K) is the only car she's ever known and 'turns 20' this summer, (drove her home from St. Vincents hospital in it in 1993-she will not let me sell it-),We have been driving to Atlanta and Minneapolis every year for the last five years, so we've done long road trips, but this year to celebrate the 20th we decide for an epic road trip, to Alaska, this vehicle was purchased by me second hand from Dr. GNO OF ORANGE COUNTY IN 1987, and has been lovingly($$$) maintained by Benzel-Busch of Englewood(ask for Franz), NJ and Manhattan MB ever since, vehicle was declared, 'ready for the trip'. New york-Skagway, AK, -New York, 7,920 miles round trip, have been on Mobile 1 for the last five years, AC and cruise -fully functional, averaged 24.7 MPG

EXCELLENT Trip! Something I want to do one day.. venture the Alaska highway.

Last year at this time I did a 9,500 mile cross country trip which basically circled the entire country. I love a good road trip! Pack well and take plenty of pictures!
