I have learned over the years if you can't express yourself without using foul language you are showing your ignorance of the English language and maybe it's time to spend some time with a dictionary and thesarus.

My $0.02,
i completely disagree. sometimes you just can't express certain feelings, emotions, ideas, or content without saying f*ck, *****, @$$h0l#, or other choice words

With a 1 1/2 year old by my side I still got quite a bit done.

On the W123:
1) Welded in new pass. floor pans. A little fiberglass to finish up the waterproofing.
2) Two oil and filter changes.
3) Removed and cleaned the fuel level sender.
4) Glass Beaded the wheels and refinished.
5) Replaced the fuel tank with a good used one.
6) Still working on replacing carpet and installing refinished seats. Maybe a new headliner if I'm feelin' froggy.
7) New primary and secondary fuel filters.
8) Replaced fuel primer pump.
9) Installed EGR block off plate.
10) Installed a manual boost controler to compensate for a weakening wastegate spring.
11) Tweaked ALDA just a bit.
12) Replaced battery tray.

On the W201:
1) Oil and filter change X 2.
2) New heater hoses. (Check yours. Can really make for a bad day)

On the W114 280
1) Oil and filter change.
2) New plugs, wires, rotor, and Dizzy cap.
3) The Solex has been reliable. Surprise!

On the W220 S430:
1) "A" Service(Dealer)
2) Trans Service(Dealer)
3) Drain and refill Diff with redline.
4) Replaced both rear Airmatic shocks. Arnott Rocks!
5) Replaced Airmatic relay.
6) Replaced secondary air tube.
7) Replaced heater blower motor.
8) Replaced all cabin filters.
9) Instrument cluster set to be replaced next week under warranty. Will also have them clean the sunroof tracks and put their special juju lube on them.
10) Replaced floor mats.
11) Cleaned an inexplicably stinky trunk liner. OK, it's used as an impromptu diaper changing station from time to time. That may explain it.
12) B Service is pending in about 250 miles. Dealer gets this job 'cause they do all sorts of things I can't do without the Star Diagnosis computer.

On the W115 300D:
1) She sits patiently awaiting my attention.

The rest are either dedicated parts cars or are waiting to be stripped and sold to further finance my addiction.

I certainly missed a few things but looking back at the list; it sure seems like enough. Looks like all of us suffer from the same problem around these parts. Maybe we should start a "Program." It would have to have more like 112 steps rather than the traditional 12, though.

Good work, everyone. Getting all this done with all of our other responsibilities imepeding the progress of our yet to be diagnosed "Benzitis" really is a testament to the enthusiasm of our little online community.

Sam

Listing everything I've done to my car would be equal to another labor so I won't do it.

Seriously, it would strain my brain remembering everything and in doing so I would also remember how much all the parts co$ted me.

The creative use of profanity is a proven sign of intelligence.

Go to a Graduate level Physics lab and listen to that lot.

Profanity is the best.

85 W126 300SD - Had the A/C compressor and drier replaced and charged with R134, had the tires rotated and balanced and did an oil change, washed and detailed it, listed it for sale, sold it ---

Bought an 84 W123 300D (not what I was shopping for, but saw it and feel in love) - washed and detailed it, changed the thermostat and temp gauge sender...drove/drive it daily.

Wow - an exhausting "automotive" summer! I need a vacation.........

I totally stripped my old damaged 82 300d of useable parts; everything bolted onto the body except the old wheels, steering arms and springs (too scary, not really needed) and differential (would like to upgrade to a higher ratio). I have a nice stock of spares in plastic tubs and various big pieces and am looking forward to inventorying them. Put in a request for a "donation" pickup today. Only thing I got mad at myself about was accidentally cutting the hood cable with the sawzall in my fervor to open the front to make the engine easier to extract!
