Mileage Badge Blues

Last Feburary I filled out and sent in my appication for the 250,000km award, well as of last week nothing. I figure 6 months should have been long enough for them to recive it, process, and ship.

I called them this week and was told that they did get my appication, and everthing was shipped in March via FedEx. They would look into it and call back. When they called back they said that they did not have access to tracking numbers and they assume it was stolen in transit. They said that because of they way that they are packaged they are stolen quite often. They will re-proccees my application and send out a new one, but in 30 days.

If true some a**hole is wearing my badge on his bling-bling chain. So if you all are still waiting for yours call up MB and see whats the problem..

Andy

Maybe they are converting to Mercedes like UPS. My UPS driver is drooling to get one.

Here's my theory. Someone has seen your posts about you expecting your badge soon. They also work for a agency that can track your street address by looking at your IP address. They're so desperate for the badge and cannot wait 4-6 weeks or longer like everyone else, so when the Fed-Ex guy walked up to your house with the badge, he intercepted the delivery guy in the front yard, signed for the package, and ran off with your badge. Now... who has gotten a 250,000km badge here lately?
-Joe

P.S.
I don't think High Mileage Badges are considered jewelry, so odds of it being around someone's neck are probably slim.

I had the same thing happen to me. I called MB and told them I had waited over 2 months....and still nothing in the mail. She said it was showing the they had shipped the high mileage award. Then....lo and behold I got 2 boxes in the mail 2 weeks afterward. I guess the one was stuck somewhere and then arrived at the same time. Who knows....all I know is I now had a backup in case mine ever gets stolen (knock on wood....but in Miami you never know).

Good luck!

Yeah, those FedEx guys keep all those tracking numbers a secret, especially from the shipper. Homeland Security you know.
