What are the steps in replacing the door checks on an 83 300D?

It is pretty easy but you have to remove the door panel cover to get access to one bolt which holds it in. Remove the door panel by prying the snaps away around the edge and removing the screws in the armrest and behind the release handle. If you have manual windows you have to remove the crank too (the plastic cover comes off the handle to get to its fastener). The other two bolts holding the check in are in the door jamb so you have to remove them, then you remove the retainer which holds the pin at the jamb and pull the check out. Installation is the reverse of removal but be sure to re-use the plastic liner behind the door panel it protects it from moisture damage. Whole job should take about 30 minutes if you have never done it, 15 if you have.
