What is this "winter" you speak of? Diesel gelling?? Road salting?!? Block heaters?!?! I've never heard of such crazy terms...

Then again I do live in Florida! :D

What?

Winter? Are you mad? The temperature has been a hellish 115 and up for most of the last few weeks. I look forward to perfect shirtsleeve temperatures for the nex six months or so. Of course I do have the advantage of living in Phoenix AZ :)

Good, for once I’m not alone in one of these threads – winter means better fuel mileage with the AC not running as much…

Right, winter.... that time when it rains non-stop. Why in god's name would there be salt on the road? Winter means replacing the wiper blades and to quit worrying about the lack of AC. This is all still very academic as we won't see frost until November..... :D

mmmm winter...means open sunroof (when not snowing) and freeze everyone....lol..also means fishtailing alot...lazy snow plow people dont plow my street till late...hopefully my garage will be semi-cleaned out so i can actually park in there...if not i will have to devise another way to protect my SD from the evil snow

Nice w115 BTW...

And yes...non stop rain...although this heat stroke we are having here the past couple weeks is nice for working outside at night.

Just one more reason (like I needed another one) not to live in "the land of Northern Agression". (Livin in middle AL and loving it).

You know I was just thinking about this today. As much as I hate to admit it September is right around the corner, and the weather will go downhill from their.

I think next week I will start getting my SD in shape. Then I need to clean out the garage so I can tuck my SDL away for the cold months.

That may be so but before winter is fall. There is nothing like ripping along the winding paved road that parallels the Missouri river bottoms, enjoying the fall colors with the sunroof wide open, and a pretty woman by your side. I can't wait. :sun_smile

Time to stock up on R12 then, the off season is the time to buy!

Mister Byrnzoil 08-08-2005 09:07 AM

C'mon Winter!

It will be a nice break from these interminable "My car is running hot" threads... I've only been here a short time and I'm already sick of them.

Its a small price to pay tho for such a fine forum. ;)
