HI,

I see one of these for sale on ebay, and while I am interested, I realize that I don't know too much about this particular model.

If anyone out there would like to offer any information pertaining to this car, I would appreciate it. Anything such as reliability, what to look out for, mileage, etc. I don't care, I want to know it all.

Thanks,
Dave

I'll bump you back to the top, run some searches for quick answers. Advanced search works pretty well.

Engine is very dependable, but if AC evaporator goes out/leaking you have to pull complete dash out, very expensive, mine does get 30 MPG

the above post sums

up my experience with the 300d 2.5. not very fast on acceleration, excellent economy and handling. very expensive to service the ac. sold it because of the last issue. went back to 123 s and 126 s.

Rated 27/33 mpg, 121 hp, 165 ft./lbs. torque at 2400 rpm. Last of the pre-Chrysler MBs, with pleated seats and solid chrome grill.

Carfax on that one is good but Autocheck reports it to have reported mileages in the 150K range over 7 years ago. Looks nice tho.
