Rear oil leak..on 300D
I used to have a small oil leak from the rear axle area a while back that doesn't seeem to be there now.... but any idea what could be leaking oil fron the rear axle area?

did you
check your boots? plugs in diff? brake lines? that is all there is unless you were leaking from the trunk. oh yeah, the fuel tank too, which with dirt might be able to look like oil.

If the rear boots are torn it could have been the lube leaking out of them. Once all the lube is gone the leak stops.
