R-12 refrigerant label part number

Earlier today I finished converting my car back to R-12. The job wasn't difficult, although it was time consuming. Now that I'm getting 38 degree air out of the vents at idle with the ambient air temperature measuring at 95 degrees, it was defnitely worth it. I had a bit of a hard time finding a part number for the refrigerant identifier label that goes on the top of the radiator support, but my parts guy was able to track one down. Perhaps its somewhere here or in the EPC, but I didn't have much luck finding it, so I figured I'd share what I found. The part number is 124 835 01 88 and the label covers 107/201, 123/126, and 124 cars.

Congrats on a job well and PROPERLY done.

I might point out to those reading your post that your label part number will not be correct for other models.

Good work,

Great! I blasted my off with a power washer a couple of years ago. I wonder how much longer MB will keep making them?

I found this through Google:

http://drmemory.org/~dakota/2/cars/Emma/Pages/1.html

You get dumped into the main page - click to enter it.
Then click on "Cars"
Then click on "1990 300E Emma"
Nice picture of the label is right on the top center of the page - click to enlarge.

That's the same label. According to my parts guy, there are 159 of them in the warehouse in Fontana, CA. I don't know if they still make them, but I would suspect they are stocked in other warehouses as well.
