Wow, that car really gets around. It would be interesting to know the history of these old cars. Good job Borat!

Amazing things like this happen once in awhile. I wonder what the bill will be to make one good car out of the two. Probably the donar shell had zero or nearly zero rust. Quite a feat to take a basically unknown car on a 6000 mile journey. Not a totally suprising thing that an old two forty not driven for quite a while would basically make it either. I have tackled distances in unknown cars after a quick checkover but nothing remotly approaching 6000 miles. Glad your parents did not experience heavy trouble enroute. The heart of this car in a kind climate might last a very long time. If it had been kept in winnipeg or should I say winterpig with the rust it's time might have been very limited. I wonder if we can donate our older less desired cars to poorer countries and get quite a tax benifit? There is a guy in Maryland that gathers` up cars for somewhere I met. The charitable valuation for a poor country at source might be much greater than allowed in north america is one of my thoughs. The donation valuation has to be given from source before the car is released I imagine reflecting area values. Why not do your part and minumise your income tax at the same time? A marginal 240 might still be worth 10k in certain parts of south america perhaps. You just have to find out where and who is gathing in north america for whatever destination and clear it with the IRS perhaps. Why should your old car or economical purchased ones not join your tax dollars in poor countries if allowed? Not really my ideal but stimulated some creative thought by the guy I met in Maryland. Should speak to my accountant about this area I guess. One person asked me years ago when I worked for the federal government on a limited contract basis how much they paid me. He was interested by what I owned at that time that I knew had basically nothing to do with my federal earnings. . I thought he was going to have a stroke when I told him it was just the visable evidence of his tax dollars at work. The devil made me do it.
