Trying MB again
I learned a whole lot with the 1977 300D I bought that didn't run. I never did get it running, but I told myself I would buy another one if it fell in my lap. Well, my lap just got crushed by a 1982 300D turbo. Just got it registered and insured, and this thing drives great. I have fallen in love with this car. Wonder if the 77 would have been this nice to drive? Here's the link to the pics, for those interested.

Looks nice and clean. The best thing I did to mine was lose the 85 mph speedo. Got tied of seeing it pinned all the time.

Congrats on your 300D. I always thought the 123 cars look great painted white.
