My next guess is that the engine needs five new fuel injectors. Diesel Purge did nothing. Anyone have any ideas? What would cause this really rough idle and copious smoke?

I was really hoping you would fix yours, so I would know what is wrong with the smoker. I think mine is going up on ebay soon, maybe even Sunday if I can get it together. I have 6 cars and I simply can't keep everything, and can't fix this wagon that I love.:( I will let someone else fix it, and then enjoy "The Flash".
BTW, I had my original injectors rebuilt, also installed some other newly rebuilt ones. No help.......
Also, have you loosened each injector to check for 'no change' in idle? My idle changes with each injector loosened.....
