That would be sweet. Is it really $1? People usually just $1 to entice the buyers. I guess it worked

I wonder how it would handle on the 17 freeway on the way to Santa Cruz

Forget 17

Forget HWY 17 take the fire roads thru the mountains to the coast now that’s a fun drive. The car was on Craig’s list for $300 for a while I bet he would take a dollar to get it out of his hair.
You are going to buy it tonight so I cant tomorrow please?

Hold out for a 300SEL 3.5. Emission control laden 4.5s can't keep up with the high compression 3.5.

Which roads are you talking about? I might be taking the 6.9 for a long drive since it hasn't been driven more than 1/2 mile in 3 months. My folks keep hearing of the "silver ghost" but have never seen it up close. I might just show up and surprise them.

for a fun drive

for a great mostly smooth unpaved drive over the hill take 101 to monetary highway go south turn right on bailey about 2 miles it dead ends at county road G8 go left about 3 miles turn right on Croy canyon road the first hundred yards is paved then it is dirt all the way to the summit it is beautiful country. We just sold an investment home and I asked the realtor to see what was available up there since civilization has moved in on us. Dirt road mostly no utilities some summers you have to have water trucked in you would think you could get a decent house with a bit of land well there was one home under a million with no land I guess we will have to move at least 50 miles south to be back in the country. When you hit summit turn rights then left on San Jose so cal road now you cant fall below 100 MPH going down the hill watch for the dang deer though.
Bailey road has drag races every Friday and Saturday night 12:00 till 2am last year 300 cars a night would show up with the new law that spectators cars are impounded they mostly meet around there then race on the busy city streets instead of in nowhere land. If your board on a Saturday take G8 south and make any right hand turn that you please you will be in for a great treat. Make sure you have a way to communicate though because you are in the suburbs one minute then well if you break or wreck no one is going to find you. Long long ago I used to rally race on the fire roads in the Santa Cruz Mountains I had an aircraft down beckon rigged in my car so if I went off a cliff someone would at least get my body. Boy those were fun times with a lot of fond and some pretty painfull memories.

The front suspension is down, that means big bucks to repair it.

Or run it on coil springs off any W108 while you save up for new bellows and leveling valves and such.

He won't for long. He's probably had it with feeling the pain of the high cost of diesel fuel.
