Bump....

I think that is an excellant site... (since they agree with me on stuff like ' longer pumping' is better, 'longer observation of vacuum hold is better', etc)
It is also a good example of what a marginal air conditioning system might need to make it acceptable when converting to R134a.... a LOT OF WORK and PARTS.... so in the other sense it makes the case for sticking with R12 as long as it is afordable.... particularly noting that they changed the EVAPORATOR to a newer and more efficient style... which I do not think is even an option for us due to availability.... and the 17 hour flat rate manual figures for labor to replace the Evaportor in the first place....
