There are a few states talking, not that they'll actually do it, about reducing the fuel tax since distributor fuel prices are so high. Now that's a good thing!!!

A bunch of dumb asses in Hawaii are considering putting price controls on distributed fuel. They say that 'wah' it's unfair that Hawaiians are paying more than everyone else in the US for fuel. Well, duh, Hawaiians pay more for EVERYTHING, and always have, except for lava and sugar. Cry me a fricking river. Price controls? Welcome to the people's republic of Hawaii...

Of course, they'll never consider in Hawaii to reduce the taxes to help out the little people. The object of the price controls is not to "help" people, but to penalize big oil and gas distributors who are being accused of price gouging. Yikes.

SEE THIS NY TIMES ARTICLE!

I doubt we will ever see $2/gal fuel again! Worse, if Chavez cuts off that 17% of Crude he ships here daily to the Gulf Coast, it will only accelerate the problem. Confounds me why we are Antagonizing this guy who sends us so much crude and really does help keep our prices down. Is he any worse then those Saudis? Those folks who gave us 9/11 ??!! They better muzzle that Preacher fellow P. Robertson and Pronto!

Chavez won't stop sending oil to the US. He needs the money.

The Robertson comments are unfortunate, and stupid, but no one really thinks they are part of "official" Bush Administration policy. Not even Chavez.

Exclamation in the event we are really running out of Oil...

I’m surprised no one has said any thing about the hurricane that just wiped out something like 25% of the US’s oil supply and a load of refiners to boot there was what I can only describe as an oil run here in Orlando tonight most of the gas stations were out of fuel
on my way home from work “about 4am”. I did see one tanker pulling up to a Cumberland farms that was out of 2 of 3 grades

I know this is only considered rumor
Nevertheless, my neighbors’ wife works for 7-11
She read an internal memo that said gas could reach
5 dollars a gallon by Friday that would be too scary
I’m currently filtering about 5 gallons of used motor oil
And I’m having my dad checking out prices at BJs hole sale club
For SVO

So who will be the first...

to put a giant solar panel on the roof of a td, and maybe a wind-powered generator sticking up, too!?!?!?! That would be as cool as the first greasecar was so many years ago!

"Mommy, there's a windmill next to us "
