vaccuum line closed off-300td

next to the brake booster there is a 5 plug harness. coming into this is a yellow line with a green stripe. on the exit side of the plug this is capped off. is this why certain things don't work?

i'd leave you a pic but i can't make the pixel size small enough to be accetpted.

Sounds like the PO blocked this system due to a leak. Here is a picture of my daughters 83 240D's vacuum lines as they exit the firewall. Notice the green/yellow line is connected to the vacuum source.

How is the AC system working??

The yellow/stripped lines are for the door lock system.
The Green/ striped line is for the AC system
The Brown lines are for the engine shutoff system.
The black lines are for fresh air venting into the cabin.

Dave

PS I guess if I had read the title I would have seen that you are talking about the 300D. BUT, the 240D vacuum harness is the same as in the 300D.

thanks dave.

not much air pushing but that could be the lack of refrigerant.

door locks do not close so there is another idea.

cruise does not work but that seems more common than working.

Not much air? Air flow or cold temperature. Sounds like you have lots of vacuum issues.

Door locks don't work. Same vacuum issues. Get a good Mity vac and start finding the leaks.

Cruise is purely electronic and mechanical. No vacuum invloved

Dave
