belts
I am trying to buy belts from Fastlane. For the alternator/ waterpump belt there are two choices 10x1000 or 10x1032. Which one is the I need for the 81 300sd, 617.95?

They made a change in the middle of a model year. You need the engine number to properly determing the belt length. Although the VIN can sometime do it as well. My '84 definitely needs the 1000 mm length. I'll bet that the '81 uses the 1037 mm length. The dealer or Phil can probably confirm it.
