Klima Relay issue

Was just reading over Carrameow's post about crank sensor, and the Klima relay was mentioned as being necessary for the tach of course, and for the AC.
I removed mine awhile back and noted the crude bypass via a wire on the bottom of relay. My compressor has come on in the past, when I was getting help with my AC (which still doesn't work :( ) My tach is inop. Anyone know what this bypass is accomplishing? |
Linking 87 and KL sends the PBU compressor signal to the compressor bypassing all Klima interrupts.

I'm not sure if the refrigerant low pressure switch in an 85 is between the Klima and the compressor like in the earlier systems or between the PBU and the Klima like in the 86-up systems. Either way, check the pressure switch at the dryer.

Looks to me like some old school copier mechanic been working on that car... :)
