Rural Pa. didn't have emissions until a couple years ago. Then our yearly inspections went from $20 to $60. Diesels are exempt of course.

I'd move to Mi. but all of my cars are diesel.

Cheers,

Bill

Diesel cars work just fine in the Tundra.... Just gotta warm them up with their heater or a big bucket of hot water dragged from the basement and poured slowly over the engine while you freeze to death from the snow and wind blowing around you....... (been there )

Improved Idea, Install direct hot water tap and hose+spray gun in garage, instant engine heater!

So a block heater doesn't work???

I was plugging mine in and after about a month figured out it didn't work anyway!

Cheers,

Bill

Disregard last post....you did say warm it up with the heater.

Temporary insanity. I've been getting that a lot lately...

Cheers,

Bill

Our 83 has always had a heater (it originated from canada)....but mine didn't till just recently...so once last winter when my battery died after 15 seconds of cranking, I jumpered it to our van, fed it power for 20 mins, poured 5 gallons of hot water over it, cranked, and it started....

The neighbors had never seen anything of the sort before.........

I've never heard of that myself.

And had it not started you would have a huge ice block for your New Years party.

Cheers,

Bill
