"New", but used diesel car question

Hey, what is the most reliable sued e-class diesel on the market right now. I am really interested in the 210 model, but i hear 300k is pushing it. I want something to last me a long long time. Unfortunately, nothing will beat the w126's. So your opinion or insight would be greatly appreciated as always. THanks

Where did you hear that, and why do you believe it? 300k is tough for any car body. Rust, lack of maintenance, suspension and other parts reaching end of useful life, etc. will have their way on any car, whether it is a gasser or a diesel.

As for the engine itself, there is no reason to believe that the OM606 can be any less long-lived than the OM603 or the OM617 in the W126 series.

There are a couple of people who have posted with W210 diesels with 200K+ miles. One guy I believe had 300K+ on his W210 diesel. You could look into a W214 E300 diesel as well...

BTW, I just bought a W210 E320 for myself today. I'll have to show it to you sometime. You can drive it and see how you would like the feel of a 210 car. Its quite a bit different from a 126.
