I recently had an 84 300D with leather interior and it was that red color, very rare. Does not hold up nearly as well as mb-tex.

The add says it's palamino, but the seats look different (darker) than the door. Also, the floor mats look lighter than the carpet. Strange?

they have been died. i looked at a 240 once that had a sort of chocolate brown color seats that appeared to be painted palamino.

I just spent four weeks in Alaska. That car is probably as good as it looks. I imagine this guy only drove it a few months a year at most. Homer, Alaska is beautiful. Puffins, whales, lots of wildlife. Would have loved to have bought that car and brought it back, but it will probably fetch more than I'm willing to pay for it in that color. It looks great though, doesn't it.

Who gives a ****ake mushroom about the color, the thing has 10K on it, it's a two-door, and the engine is cleaner than...than, um, cleaner than something that is incredibly clean.

That is called "middle red". It's the same color interior I have on my '85 300DT..........I love that colr...
(IDK if he dyed them It could be the dor panel looks lighter 'cause it's got the sun shinig on it..) Why would he dye interior if only 10K on the car????

BTW It's up to $15K and reserve not met....

I wonder where he got the chrome valve cover. Other than being a NA engine, it looks really solid.

Ouch, I didn't see that, I don't thing the air filter is the correct color either, it looks like it was painted silver. It doesn't look like anything else has been molested (except maybe the interior color?).

I don't know, it looks like the original air cleaner on my NA '80 wagon. Solid aluminum. I loved it, but it broke....

Aluminum air cleaner needed....

OK, I didn't know that. I thought they were all black, but I've never had a NA 300D.

I think that color interior was called sienna, not palamino. The valve cover looks like it has been polished, and that year did have the air cleaner that color, at least the lid for sure. Too nice to drive. It should be in a museum.

That's the problem with buying a really low milage car, it's value is based on the mileage (not just the condition). If you use it, it's going to depreciate like crazy. Fortunately, I don't have that problem.
