There are plenty of OM602 turbo engines in service in the USA - I've never heard of an OM602 with a cracked head issue.
I'm pretty sure the OM603 problems were caused by the combination of the turbo and the trap oxidizer since there does not appear to be any history of head cracking in the OM60X family of engines except for the early turbo OM603 equipped with the trap oxidizer.
