I don't recall hearing of the tanks cracking. Mine are still good and I don't think I've ever heard anyone looking for a replacement. The connectors and the door actuators appear to be the weak spots. Anyone?

Here is a DIY thread I made for my TD. It works well but I still can't find the factory cut-off switch in the SD's. I've torn through a few old SD's in parts yards but I loose the trail under the passenger seat.
