ELR idle adjustment on OM602 (2.5 Turbo)?

I've got the "surging idle" problem that is not uncommon with the 602 and 603 engines (or so I have learned from the search function). I want to test the ELR by moving the potentiometer, or 1-7 scale knob described in some of the search results. However, on my '87 190D 2.5T, I cannot find any such knob. The descriptions for the W124 cars is that this potentiometer is on the firewall, near the brake booster. I don't know where it's supposed to be on a W201, and can't find the location even with the electronic version of the service manual.

Is there such an adjustment on the W201's with the 602 engine? If so, where, and what is the best way to test the ELR function?

Thanks,

SteveM.
