[QUOTE=Deni]Since the server got reseted and alomst all important posts got lost (like the ones with pics wich I love the most ), I think we need a new "post your car" thread .

Here is my '92 190D 2.5turbo, 5 spd, 200190km on the clock (but I bet it has more).

Deni, and others. I have seen the louvers (openings/slots) on later 300D w124 and the 190D for the intake air.

Questions:
What kind of baffle is used to prevent or control water entry into the area?
Have you every had issues with water getting in during heavy rain?

My car does not have this intake opening, but from the inside gets its air from the same location. I would be interested in cutting mine open if a bolt in baffle exists.

Thanks

your 87 TDT has the louvers on the LF fender? Was that fender replaced or is it original to the car. Mine is a 87 TD Wagon which I presume is the same as a TDT, and it does not have these openings. I have not seen another 87 TDT with them. Just wondering when MB made the change and if it was during the model year run. I've checked the panel numbers and all of mine match so they are original.

How much of the engine intake do you hear drom the louvers? I would love to hear my turbo wine

Love that Rover!!!!

Here's my "new" car. Less oxidation and grimmy interior. Detailing is about 75% done.

Here are mine. The '85 TD is my daily driver, the '78 coupe was given to me by a friend, and comes out of the garage on sunny days. More pictures are at:

I haven't relly checked inside if it has a some kind of barrier to restrain water from entering the air filter. But I can assure you that there's no problem whatsoever with water. There have been some very heavy raining in Tirana, especially in this year in June, when the main streets were flooded within 30min. I had no problem and enjoyed the rain inside my car .

I don't know how easy it is to cut them, but sure they're BEAUTIFUL .

Cheers, Deni

Nice friend!!

Here's mine, if the linking works:

That was a photo Cliff took for his ad on eBay. I'll try to take some of my own, too.

Yep.

Here's the link to the closed listing on eBay, where you can see the interior. It's actually darker probably than it appears in the PICs, which look more like a medium green.

Yes, I've now linked it in multiple threads.

Dang! I was going to bid on that one. My wife loves it. But then we bought this one:

We're going to pick it up this Saturday.
And yes, I linked this one too in multiple threads.
BTW: How much did you pay?
