Hey, anyone know where to get the MB foglights? (or are they just aux. lights)
I could use some extra lighting when in the vicinity of lifted pickups that have a pair (or two) of foglights...

The pull start

The 220D and early 240D you started them buy turning the key on then pulling a handle out waiting about 45 seconds till the glow plug light came on. Then you yank hard on the pull start to get the engine to turn over and start it is great theft prevention

Mattdave, check my signature....I have a 240 with the pull knob I wondered what he meant by "pushbutton" since pushing the button will get you or the valet nowhere fast.

Aren't the W115 300D cars keyed ignition?

matt-- are you serious?

ive never been interested in the 115 chassis cars, they lack the elegance of a mercedes for me, everything in that car just looks like an early water cooled vw, but bigger and most likely better, however, it still retains that cobbled together "hey, lets put this switch umm... there!" mentality that i cannot appreciate.

kind of like an early 107 SL, those things just have mismatched buttons, knobs, levers and switches put arbitrarily together in the center "pod"

that also looks like one dog of a car-- those seats?! i have seen nicer seats in the u pull it yard, after having no windows or protectants applied for years, i am sure. even if the seller says so, that is NOT a nice car. period.

That's what is so neat about them. Well, that and the fact that barring rust, my minimalist 115 will probably outlast my 126 by 300%-400%.

I have to agree. I like the W115 becuase they are quirky with the function over form touches like the gorilla knob

Funny, I just saw one just like that yesterday at the supermarket. Just like it except for the fact that it was a 240D and blue. Still really rare to see around here! It's amazing how many more Mercedes' you notice when you have one.
